The author, June Moonbridge,  lives in Slovenia but as her enigmatic bio says, she was born elsewhere and has lived and worked all over Europe. With two young children of her own she is well placed to imagine the anguish of the main character in her book – the mother of a kidnapped child.  Her career has also taken her into industries and lifestyles which no doubt carry heat and passion into the story. Her experiences in the automotive field have fuelled her insights into F1 racing to make this novel push to the limits. And hey! As the girls storm the world of football who says motor racing is only for the boys? From what I’ve seen there’s hardly any map reading or reverse parking.
